No Response Data for Articulate Sequencing Question
Posted by Brian Kleeman on 28 November 2006 03:48 PM
Interaction data for sequencing questions including the correct response and the learner's response does not save with the rest of the lesson data.
Articulate's data format is out of spec and is exceeding the maximum length allowed.
Sequencing interactions have the learner place several items in a specific order. The SCORM spec dictates that the correct pattern and the learner's response be saved as comma-separated single characters ("a,d,b,c,e" for example), however Articulate is saving the complete caption of each item ("first item, second item, third item, forth item, fifth item" for example). If the total length of the captions (including the commas) is greater than 255 characters, it will exceed the maximum length allowed and the data will not save correctly.
Be sure that the total length of all item captions for a given question (including the commas) totals 255 or fewer characters.
