Enable CLR (Common Language Runtime)

The Common Language Runtime (CLR) must be enabled on your SQL Server in order to use the Grouping Rules functionality of Inquisiq R3. The Installer does not automatically enable this option so that you may control its use; enabling CLR makes it available to all databases on the SQL Server. If you do not enable this option, the Grouping Rules will not be available within the LMS, however the system will otherwise not be affected.

To enable CLR execute the following script on your SQL Server. In order to execute this script, you must use a login that is a member of the sysadmin group or serveradmin group:

  • sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1;
  • GO
  • RECONFIGURE;
  • GO
  • sp_configure 'clr enabled', 1;
  • GO
  • RECONFIGURE;
  • GO
